I’m now a Registered Voter!

September 24, 2009

It took me 3 hours to be an official and registered Voter.

0923200912073 (Medium)

But it was the waiting time which took much of that 3 hours. The registration process was easy and orderly. You just really have to bring the proper requirements and fill-out the registration form properly and you won’t have any problems.

Here’s how the registration process was:

Step 1:

Comelec will ensure that you have the proper requirements. See accepted ID/docs here.

Step 2:

Get the registration form. You will be given a registration form if you have valid and proper requirements.

Step 3:

Fill-out the voter’s registration form. There is a BIG sample form to show registrants how to properly fill-out the voter’s registration form.

Step 4:

Submit the voter’s registration form and wait for you to be called. This is the long process.. Waiting! Due to the large number of registrants, you’ll be waiting for about 2 hours.

Step 5:

Biometrics capturing. You’ll be photographed, and your finger prints will be taken using the biometrics scanner. Only your Thumb and index finger will be scanned. You will also need to sign on an electronic signature capturing device.

After that, you will be given an acknowledgement receipt.

Just wait for the notice when you’ll be able to claim your Voter’s ID.

TIPS:

  1. Come early.
  2. Bring all the proper and valid requirements
  3. Bring a pen!
  4. Bring water and food.
  5. Bring your own chair if possible.
  6. Bring a fan or anything that can cool you down while you are waiting
  7. Wear something nice and smile at the camera.
